WHAT does this Mean?
1. We are the Family of Christ (Christ, not the pastors/deacons, is the Head of the Church, Eph. 5:23; Col. 1:18)
2. The foundation of the Family Baptist Church is followers of Jesus who are:
(a) Committed to Evangelism and Discipleship (The Great Commission, Matt. 28:18-20)
(b) Equipped in the Practical knowledge of the Word of God (Eph. 4:11-12)
3. We are committed to reaching out to the communities we live in (Acts 8:4) with the Gospel so that others would be brought into the Family of Christ.

WHY?
Gospel! Only the right understanding of the Gospel can motivate us as one Family to fulfill the vision of our ministry. What does that mean? Jesus has saved and redeemed us. He died for us. He has chosen us for serving Him. We are new creatures, created in Christ Jesus for good works that God Himself predestined for us. We have not deserved God’s favor. It was God’s grace. We should imitate Christ and His humility and commitment in serving God and people (Philipp. 2:5)
